About the Role:
We're seeking an Instructional Designer to create comprehensive learning experiences for our SaaS product. You'll design and develop training programs for both our internal teams and customers, ensuring they can fully leverage our software's capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop comprehensive learning experiences across various modalities (e.g., eLearning, instructor-led training, webinars, job aids)
- Apply learning theories and instructional strategies to create engaging and effective training programs
- Conduct needs assessments to identify learning gaps and opportunities within the organization and customer base
- Develop curriculum maps and learning paths for different user roles and skill levels
- Create assessment strategies to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, product managers, and stakeholders to align learning objectives with business goals
- Contribute to the strategic planning of learning initiatives for product adoption and user success
- Evaluate and recommend new learning technologies and approaches to enhance the overall learning experience
- Collaborate on LMS strategy to ensure alignment with instructional design best practices
- Manage LMS content structure and organization to optimize the learning experience
- Analyze LMS data to inform instructional design decisions and improve learning outcomes
- Support managers in designing effective team-specific learning content within the LMS
- Ensure all designed content meets LMS technical requirements and best practices
- Serve as a mentor to eLearning Specialists
Position Proficiencies and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred, OR 3+ years of experience in instructional design, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment
- Physical or Occupational Therapy experience preferred
- Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Action Mapping)
- Experience in conducting needs assessments and evaluating training effectiveness
- Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with LMS content implementation and optimization
- Understanding of LMS capabilities and how to leverage them for effective instructional design
- Ability to analyze LMS data and apply insights to improve learning experiences
Competencies to Drive Success:
- Experience with customer education
- Knowledge of data analytics for learning measurement and reporting
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and their application to learning design
- Experience with video production and multimedia design
- Familiarity with [specific LMS once selected] or similar learning management systems
- Experience managing learning content for a large, diverse user base including both employees and clients
- Demonstrates the ability to take feedback constructively, adapt to changing circumstances, innovate, and independently drive projects to successful completion.
- Experience in healthcare industry, especially EMR, EHR, or RCM
