Full Stack Platform Engineer (AWS, Node, React, Java)

Location: Tallinn or Tartu, Estonia

Who we are looking for: Experienced engineer with at least five years of experience. They possess extensive technical knowledge and expertise in their field, enabling them to provide technical guidance and leadership to the team. Knowledge in AWS, Node.js, React, Java are big plus, but if you are willing to learn then some gaps in knowledge are acceptable. Backend programming experience is a must; knowledge in front-end programming is a big plus.

Responsibilities
  • Writes and tests major features according to the business requirements and
    design.
  • Helps to define best practices and methodology for software development.
  • Participates in creating design, and advises on different technical solutions considering the system as a whole.
  • Works with Sysops/QA/Dev teams and helps to optimize SDLC.
  • Demonstrates an ability to balance architecture design with value delivery by focusing on simple solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Trains and mentors lower-level eningeers.
  • Willing to learn new technologies and programming languages.
  • Work on older legacy systems.

Recommended Position Proficiencies and Requirements
  • Specific higher education and five or more years of work experience in the field are required.
  • Has some knowledge of React and Typescript. Any other front-end library or framework is a plus.
  • Has some knowledge of Java.
  • Has some knowledge of AWS services, NodeJs and development with CDK.
  • Experienced with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Able to work with multiple version control systems (Git, SVN).
  • Maintains a strong understanding of project state and is familiar with SDLC. 
  • Creates documentation for new implementations and features.
  • Open to learn new things and also working with legacy systems.
  • Familiar with Agile.
  • Experience with PHP is a plus.
