The DevOps Engineer role would be to help support the Raintree environment as a member of the DevOps Team. In this role you will utilize your existing IT and/or software engineering experience to assist the team in building and supporting the AWS infrastructure, implementing customer environments, and providing support for technical issues.  You will work on projects related to the automation of AWS environments, system maintenance, and configuration management.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitoring system performance using DataDog and other tools, identify points for optimization, and implement system changes to address problems.
• Provision Infrastructure utilizing tools and processes that the team has developed while maintaining and updating those tools as needed.
• Maintain system configuration and compliance states utilizing tools and processes that the team has developed, maintaining and updating these components as needed.
• Create runbook documentation for other engineers to follow when addressing system problems.
• Support developer teams within our AWS environments.
• Troubleshoot issues related to the Raintree applications and databases running in our environment.
• Troubleshoot issues related to operating systems, network configurations, VPNs, and other infrastructure components within the AWS environment.
• Support application environments running serverless and/or containerized workloads in AWS.

• 2+ years of system administration experience related to Windows operating systems, ideally running in AWS.
• 2+ years of experience administering Active Directory and related structures.
• 2+ years of experience related to MySQL database administration.
• Experience supporting AWS or other cloud environments utilizing common tooling and scripting.
• Experience with supporting Windows systems leveraging PowerShell or another common scripting language.
• Experience using GitHub or another similar git based software version control system.
• Experience supporting applications and/or users in an application environment
• Experience delivering and troubleshooting networking topologies including subnetting, routing, IP addressing, and VPN usage.
