Raintree requires a results-oriented leader for its professional services team who will create the organizational structure and capabilities required to deliver world-class consulting and implementation that enabling clients to achieve the fastest possible time to maximum value realization.  The current Professional Services organization comprises almost 50 employees with the expectation that this will grow at the rate our business grows (currently 45% per annum) provided professional services margins are enhanced, not eroded.  The VP of Professional Services will report to the Chief Customer Officer and have a key role on the company’s Management Team.

Duties and Responsibilities

      • Own all aspects of the Professional Services Department which is responsible for providing scoping, design, implementation, customization, configuration, quality assurance, strategic consulting, and training services for all Raintree clients;

    • Drive strategy, structure, management, and operations of the Professional Services organization in relation to client success and key business and financial metrics;

    • Ownership of Professional Services P&L and its forecasting, including ensuring that revenues and net margins are met/protected or exceeded on a quarterly or annual basis;

    • Plan, direct, and ensure the successful design, implementation, and management of customized business solutions created by the Professional Services team;

    • Evaluate and develop methods and procedures that meet or improve on best business practices, and ensure consistency and scalability across the Professional Services business.

    • Develop and implement techniques the sales and services leaders can use to ensure that deliverables are on-time and within budget, while increasing efficiency and reducing issues;

    • Drive sales efforts by conducting presentations and supporting proposal and SOW development;

    • Collaborate with other leaders across the company but especially in the Client Services organization to deliver a consistent integrated customer journey throughout the client lifetime.

    • Work with the Product and Technology organizations to ensure that product roadmap benefits from as much of the voice of the customer as possible especially as it pertains to delivering world-class implementation capabilities.

 

Position Proficiencies and Requirements

A qualified candidate will have experience managing a high-performing professional services team, from a Private Equity backed SaaS business or professional services delivery organization that delivers technology-focused engagements.  

Must have at least 7+ years of experience with each of the following:

    • Managing leaders of multiple disciplines within a professional services organization.

    • Managing a professional services organization that caters to both large and enterprise-scale customers.

    • Managing P&L metrics within the professional services department, e.g. utilizations, revenue generation per head, margins, etc.;

    • Managing SaaS software implementation projects and key client relationships for enterprise-scale customers with complex requirements

    • Experience working for a Private Equity backed company and dealing with the reporting requirements of a top tier Private Equity firm    

    • Overseeing a Learning and Development (training) organization

    • Leading complex proposal creation and pitching efforts

    • Working with third party technology partners on collaborative implementation plans 

A plus but not required:

    • Implementation and consulting leadership within the healthcare industry 

    • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record, Patient Engagement and Medical Billing systems

    • Transformation of a home-grown implementation team into a world-class best-practice professional services organization
